The value is different from that measured at a clinic or doctor's office.

At a clinic or doctor's office, apprehension may cause an elevated reading. Home measurement reduces the effects of outside influences on blood pressure readings, supplementing the doctor's readings.

Remove the batteries. Place them back properly and try the measurement again.
